AI Voice Library: Best Voices by Use Case

Find the best AI voice for audiobooks, YouTube, meditation, e-learning, ads and characters — with what to look for, starting settings and voice profiles to try.

Settings are starting points for ElevenLabs-style controls — names and ranges vary by model, so test and adjust. Voice availability in the Voice Library changes over time, and community voices may have their own usage terms. Independent guide; not affiliated with ElevenLabs.

How to find the right AI voice

The perfect voice depends on what you are making. A narrator who is wonderful for a ten-hour audiobook may sound sleepy in a 30-second ad. Pick your use case above to see what to look for, suggested starting settings and voice profiles to try.

How to use these profiles in the ElevenLabs Voice Library

  1. Copy the search terms from a profile card.
  2. Open the Voice Library in your ElevenLabs account and paste them into the search box.
  3. Filter further by language, accent, gender and age.
  4. Preview three to five voices with a paragraph from your own script — not the default sample text.
  5. Apply the suggested starting settings, then adjust one setting at a time.

Test voices fairly

  • Use the same script for every voice you compare.
  • Listen on the devices your audience uses — phone speakers, earbuds and laptops.
  • Listen to at least a full minute; first impressions can mislead.
  • Clean your script first with our script cleaner so numbers and acronyms don’t skew the comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Voice Library voices commercially?

Usually, commercial use requires a paid plan, and some community voices have their own terms. Check the voice’s details and the current ElevenLabs terms before publishing.

Why do the same settings sound different on another voice?

Every voice responds differently to stability and style. Treat our settings as a starting point and fine-tune them for each voice.
